r-Mussel Polypeptide-1 is a single chain recombinant mussel protein, produced by fermentation in E. coli. The starting gene is directly isolated from Mytilus galloprovincialis which codes for Adhesive Plaque Matrix. The protein contains a maximum of 751 amino acids and consists of the proper sequence of the 20 standard amino acids. .
